We built MEL with privacy and control at the core. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you stay in control.

Privacy at a Glance
What MEL can see
- Profile details you share (name, email, preferences).
- Tasks, routines, and calendar events you actively sync to MEL.
- Subscription status and transaction records (all billing is handled securely through Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
What MEL never does
- Sell your personal data or monetize it through advertising.
- Train internal or third-party AI models on your private content without explicit consent.
- Access disconnected accounts or deleted data that you have removed from MEL.
Information We Collect
We only collect data required to deliver the service you signed up for or to comply with legal obligations.
Information We Do NOT Collect
MEL does not request, collect, or store highly sensitive personal identifiers, including:
- Social Security numbers (SSN)
- Government-issued ID numbers
- Dates of birth (unless voluntarily provided for support verification)
- Credit or debit card numbers
- Bank account passwords or login credentials
- Biometric identifiers
All subscription billing is handled securely through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. MEL never has access to your payment card information.
You can review and remove this information anytime inside the app.
Account & profile details
Name, email, password hashes, time zone, and settings you configure so we can personalize your workspace.
Productivity data you choose to connect
Task lists, calendars, and documents that you import or sync. By default, MEL only ingests the fields required to generate schedules or reminders.
Payment & subscription records
Subscription status and transaction records from Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All billing and payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google—we never see or store your payment card information.
Support interactions
Messages you send to support and product feedback so we can resolve issues and improve MEL.
Device & diagnostics
Limited metadata such as device type, app version, and anonymized analytics events to keep MEL reliable. You can opt out of analytics from the consent banner.
How We Use Your Information
- Deliver the product: Generate plans, reminders, and automations you request.
- Provide support: Troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and send updates related to your account.
- Process payments: Manage subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google.
- Improve MEL: Analyze product usage in aggregate to enhance reliability and features once you have opted into analytics.
- Meet legal requirements: Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with regulations.
Your Choices & Controls
MEL gives you clear controls to decide what is connected and how it is used.
- Disconnect integrations: Visit Settings → Connected Accounts in the app to toggle off calendar, email, or task sync. Disconnecting immediately stops access and deletes cached sync tokens.
- Manage notifications: Adjust what MEL emails or pushes to you under Settings → Notifications.
- Export or delete data: Request an export or deletion inside Settings → Privacy or by emailing us. We honor verified requests within 30 days.
- Analytics opt-in: Use the consent banner on the site to enable or disable product analytics at any time; your preference is stored locally.
How We Share Information
We only share data with partners who help us run MEL, and only when they meet strict security and contractual standards. Each partner acts as a processor on our behalf.
Security & Retention
- Encryption: Data in transit uses TLS 1.2+ and data at rest is encrypted using industry-standard AES-256.
- Access controls: Employee access is limited, audited, and requires multi-factor authentication.
- Retention schedule: Workspace data is kept while you maintain an active account. Deleted workspaces and integrations are purged within 30 days unless legally required to keep them longer.
- Incident response: We notify affected users without undue delay if we detect a data breach that impacts your information.
Secure Architecture
MEL is built using a modern, security-first cloud architecture designed to protect user data at every layer.
Authentication & Identity
- User authentication is handled exclusively through Sign in with Apple.
- We do not store user passwords.
- Identity tokens are verified server-side before granting access.
OAuth Integrations
- Email and calendar connections are authorized through Google and Microsoft using OAuth 2.0.
- Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest.
- Users can revoke access at any time from within MEL or from their provider's security settings.
Encryption Standards
- All data in transit is protected using TLS 1.2 or higher.
- Sensitive data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 industry standards.
Least-Privilege Access
- MEL requests only the minimum scopes required to deliver requested features.
- Internal service access follows strict role-based access controls (RBAC).
Cloud Infrastructure
- MEL is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with continuous monitoring, automated backups, and audit logging.
- Administrative access requires multi-factor authentication.
AI Processing
- MEL does not use private user content to train internal or third-party AI models without explicit consent.
- AI processing occurs within secured environments and follows strict data isolation policies.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data (including under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws). We extend these rights to every MEL customer.
Submit requests from Settings → Privacy or email us using the address below. We verify identity before completing sensitive requests.
Children’s Privacy
MEL is designed for adults managing their personal and professional lives. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We will update this page whenever we make material changes and will notify you through email or in-app alerts at least 14 days before updates take effect. Continued use of MEL after the effective date signals acceptance of the revised policy.
